If there was an option for 0 stars, I would pick that. When we moved into our home it was not fenced. We had dogs and wanted to provide a space for them to enjoy the backyard. We did some research and found Jarcordero Fence. This company seems to be ran by a father and son and gave us a quote of $3500. Everything went smoothly in the beginning and communication was fine. The day of installation came and there were 2 young men who came to the house and started working on placing the poles into the ground. The older male (I assume the father) sat in the car the whole time doing nothing and bossed the younger 2 around. Nothing was used to be sure a straight line was made so the fence wasn’t crooked. They essentially ‘eye-balled’ the straight line. After day one was complete, the poles were put up. Day 2 consisted of constructing the rest of the fence. When the fence was completed, we did a walk around the perimeter and could not believe the horrible job done. The back fence line was completely crooked, concrete was over poured, large pieces of concrete were left behind (our dogs could eat it), there’s gaps in the vinyl, and there was concrete poured all over the fence. (Pictures attached) We called the company back who said they would come back out to fix the back line of the fence after sending them photos. The company even agreed it was not a job well done. We scheduled a day for the business to come back out and they gave us a 4 hour time frame between 12-4. Well, 4:20 rolled around and still no sign of them. We called to ask where they were and they said they got stuck at another job and would be at our house around 6pm. 6:30 came around and still nothing. We waited all day just to have to re-schedule AGAIN. 1 month later, they finally came out. The communication severely declined once they had our money. When the came out to fix the back fence line, they had to break the concrete and readjust all the poles. It was so bad they couldn’t fix it in one day and had to come back again the next day. They did fix the back fence line and it is now straight. However, they still over poured the concrete which has now ruined our grass along the boarders of the fence. For $3500 we are so disappointed and really wish we chose a different company. We tried to entrust a family business and support local but they just didn’t seem to care. I should also say, the father only speaks Spanish; we do not. When my fiancé told the son what needed to be fixed, the son would translate to the father. The father would throw a fit right in front of my fiancé clearly being not nice about it. God only knows what he said. The son was very polite, I just wish we weren’t upset with the work of the fence and they took the time to properly install the fence. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

Was an awful family owned business. I had so many issues with them it was ridiculous. The came out and put in the fence the first day. The poor son did most of the work while the father sat in the car in the AC most of the time. The father speaks NO English so I had to communicate through the son who seems to actually run the business. I could tell he was being rude to the son just by the way he was speaking. After they left and finished the fence they had overpoured so much concrete and clumped rocks littered our backyard. They got so much on the vinyl fencing. The fence line wasn’t even straight. They left gaps in the planks. The left gaps under the fence. I even told them I have a small dog and needed it flushed so he didn’t slip out. See pictures. When telling them a few days later the work they did was not acceptable they did come back to fix. The first date they had they never showed. The next date we determined they took much longer than they said. It was unprofessional when I told the dad I was very upset with the work and wanted it fixed and he wasn’t happy about it. Sorry your sons didn’t do a quality job and the random other guy who came. They left our yard covered in so much mud and debris. They ended up having to take out most of the fence to put the fence back in a straight line. Still not perfect. They left dirt on the vinyl still and really messed up the gate entrance to the yard. They said this was due to the location but when I stated I didn’t like the latch the way it was they said too bad basically. Just would have rather spent the money on an actual company to do the work even if it was more money.

TL;DR - Jarcordero delayed my project for nearly 6 months, stole my deposit, and ghosted me. ————- BUYER BEWARE. This company was hired and paid a deposit in early October of 2023. They did not even apply for permits until after Thanksgiving. Permits were finally received in January after several delays in getting the city the information they needed. Got to a point where Jose Jr. stopped answering my calls and I had to call from a different number to get updates. This was an electronic gate installation so there were other contractors who needed the fence/gate installed before they could complete their portion of the job, all of us at the mercy of this company. After 4 more weeks of follow ups with Jarcordero, they finally gave me an installation date. The other contractors were promptly scheduled for the same day to complete their portions. I called Jarcordero at noon the day before installation and they cancelled, resulting in my needing to cancel the others. At this point they were fired and after meeting with Jose Sr., Jose Jr. and someone named Manny, they promised to return the deposit minus their permitting expenses. They never did, they ghosted me after that. Scammers, dishonest, unorganized and overall, highly unprofessional. I’m not one to leave bad reviews but felt if they pulled this on me, they’d do it to others. I couldn’t recommend this company any less, be careful working with them. The company hired to replace them had the project complete within 30 days, even with having to restart the permitting process.

BEWARE: Sadly, similar to other reviews, they took our 20K deposit and never did the job. It’s been over six months. Now, we’re taking them to court. They kept saying over and over that they were coming to do the job. I hope no one else has to experience this.

I will highly recommend this company. Before I contracted them I did my own research and was please to read the comments of former clients and had the opportunity to talk to other clients. The owners worked with me to make sure I was satisfied and also in getting approval from the HOA and City permits office for my fence as it was designed . The quality of the work is very good, customer service is excellent and the service worker’s manners and professionalism is also good.
