The Pond Monster

We are very happy with the work Lloyd and his team does. We had some Pond work that needed to be done such as cleaning out replacing a pump and reconfiguring the waterfall. Lloyd and his team did a great job and we’re always professional. We even added some Koi fish, which we are absolutely delighted with. We would highly recommend the Pond Monster for any Pond work that needs to be done. He also listens to the customer individually on what their preferences are and the aesthetic that they are looking for which is an extra service that was very important to us. Highly recommend.

Lloyd, Nate, Gove and team were amazing! The pond is better than expected! Professional, communicative, punctual, friendly, and experts in their field. After dealing with a couple of other service providers, we went with the Pond Monster because of their organization and experience. So glad we did!

My 15 year-old pond had developed a few issues, due to a "not so great" install from another company that is no longer in business, which resulted in half of the walls collapsing. I was able to get a hold of Lloyd pretty quickly, and he was out the next day. His first priority was saving my Koi, which I thought was great. I had hand picked most of them, so that was my main concern. Once they were all safe, that's when the real work began. It took a couple days to get ahold of a large enough liner, but that gave his team time to work on a few upgrades that were suggested/requested... skimmer, drainage, aeration, ect. To install the new liner (and subliner) correctly, they had to recraft most of the stone border, as well as two of the waterfalls. Lloyd and his team are very knowledgeable & do great work. They corrected all of the structural issues left over from the previous company's work, then implemented a few more features (including underwater lighting) that will keep my pond in great shape for decades to come. I sure wish that I had them 15 years ago. I now use The Pond Monster for monthly maintenance.

Awesome! Our pond was overgrown and Hurricane Milton didn’t help. But, Pond Monster came to the rescue and went above and beyond with the restoration, cleanup, and repair of the lighting. There were 3 men on the job, all professional, respectful and friendly. I identified the plants we wanted to keep and they followed it to the letter. They carefully removed the fish and water plants for safe keeping, We have two waterfalls, and a good sized pond. The end result was breathtaking! Truly… we’re so glad we went to Pond Monster to get our pond back in shape. Thank you, Pond Monster!

Our experience with Pond Monsters has been nothing short of a nightmare. In September 2023, we reached out to them regarding issues with the fountain they installed in our community a few years prior. What followed was a series of disappointments, delays, and sheer incompetence. Firstly, despite multiple promises from their representative Tessa that the issue would be addressed promptly, it took Pond Monsters two weeks just to diagnose the problem, attributing it to fishing line. Instead of taking immediate action, they claimed they would contact the manufacturer for repair, which took weeks to materialize. Even more absurd was their refusal to install the warranty-repaired pump due to an alleged presence of a gator in the pond. It's bewildering that a company named "Pond Monsters" operating in Florida would be so ill-prepared to handle such situations. After weeks of unnecessary delay, only when the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission confirmed the absence of any gators did Pond Monsters reluctantly proceed with the installation. However, their incompetence didn't end there. Not only did they fail to test the newly installed pump, but they also left without ensuring it was operational. Isn't it basic professionalism to verify that the equipment is functioning properly before concluding a job? In January 2024, when Pond Monsters returned to reactivate the fountain, it failed to power on. Despite my initial request to check the fuses being ignored, they eventually returned, albeit tardily, only to replace the fuse and restore functionality after four painstaking months. In summary, Pond Monsters epitomizes everything a customer should avoid in a service provider: poor communication, unfulfilled promises, shoddy workmanship, and a complete disregard for customer satisfaction. Save yourself the headache and seek reputable alternatives in the area that value professionalism and competence. Pond Monsters is an absolute disappointment and should be avoided at all costs.
