Solar Bear

Donnie from Solar Bear came out today and made sure my system was fully activated and running correctly. He verified everything was connected and working in the Q.Ommand app, and he also checked the hardware side, including the electrical and electronics, to confirm everything was communicating and operating as it should. Super professional, thorough, and answered all my questions. Shoutout to Donnie and Justin for taking customer satisfaction seriously and making sure everything was handled the right way!

If I could give 100 stars, I would. Everyone has been wonderful. Justin was fantastic, he was patient as he worked with us to get the best solar panels specifically designed for us. He walked us through all the paperwork, along with his knowledgeable and kind staff. They got the permits for us and were immediately available for any questions we had. Hugo has been attentive and professional and available to us at any time of day. The installers were efficient and had the job done quickly. They were respectful and made sure the area was clean when they finished. We are very happy with the production of our panels, I only wished we had done this sooner!

These guys helped out my grandmother who lives down in tampa bay. They installed some panels and everything is working great! Highly recommend!

I would NOT recommend this company at all. I had closed-cell spray foam installed by Foam Bear which is owned and operated by the same owner as Solar Bear. Payment, communication, and oversight were all handled through the same office where I dropped the check off at (solar bear) I had close cell spray foam sprayed followed by fire-blocking paint installed and the entire process was handled extremely poorly. Their crew sprayed the fire-retardant paint with zero ventilation in a building that already had high humidity. As a result, the paint was literally falling off the ceiling while they were spraying it, yet the crew continued anyway. They ended up spraying approximately 40 gallons of paint in a 1,600 sq ft building which is a crazy amount for such little space, which caused an overwhelming chemical odor that lasted for months. Because the paint was applied in such high humidity with no ventilation, the ceiling became severely discolored, with uneven drying and blotchy areas throughout. I immediately contacted the company about the discoloration once they finished and received no response. This month, I had them come back out to inspect the issue, and even their own crew admitted it looked like the paint did not dry correctly. I later spoke directly with the owner, who initially said he would pay half of the cost to have the ceiling repainted, and then completely ghosted me with no follow-up. The company has tried to shift the blame onto me, saying it’s my fault because the building has high heat and humidity. However, they never ventilated the space at all during application, which is basic responsibility when spraying this type of material. If you read through other negative reviews, you’ll notice a pattern: when problems arise, this company does not take responsibility or follow through on fixing issues they caused. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere.

I purchased solar panels & battery backup. This was repeat business to Solar Bear as they installed my original system in 2020. The experience with this install has been disappointing. After the system was installed I was told the new panels were generating power. I couldn’t see this due to the second inverter not being tied into my app. I reached out to Solar Bear who sent a tech out. Nothing communicated to me on outcome until I reached out and was told the system was working. I reached out to the manufacture, Solar Edge who helped me connect the second inverter. We then confirmed that 8 of the 15 new panels installed were not working. Solar Bear has been non-responsive. Responses are non-existent and the level of arrogance from these people is unbelievable. They definitely don’t care about their customers - a search on the BBB shows they have been delisted for similar issues. Not the company they were in 2020.
