Tried to reach the company for 2 months now. Finally spoke with one of the office members, in person, who stated they would call me back to schedule service. Waited another 2 weeks, with no callback. Giving up on Solar-Ray. System is only 3 years old, but the inverters have standing water inside. Update 11/12/25 After leaving this review I received a generic reply from the Solar Ray. The wanted to see what kind of service I required. Funny thing is that I left details on the voicemail and follow up emails. The person who was texting me , actually said they did not read my emails. They did say that Mr. brown and Mr. Miller would come out to review the system, for a discounted rate of $300. They do not cover installation issues, since the system was installed 3 years ago under the previous owner. The main issue is that water is getting into the inverters and two of the inverter displays had stopped working. Thankfully all three inverters were operating properly. I had the system checked by another company, very responsive and punctual. Sure enough, water is coming in from the electrical pipes. We will see what that costs, but worth the peace of mind. This was a reminder to routinely check your system regardless of installer.

I recently purchased my first home and it already had solar installed on it by previous owner from Solar Ray. I didn't know anything about the system so I called to ask for information. Alex and Mike came out the same week. They answered all my questions, connected the monitoring for me and inspected everything to make sure its running well. I'm so excited to see how low my electric bill is going to be! Highly recommend them!

It is 2 and half years after installing this equipment. Compare to other companies these equipment are little pricy. ( I spend $52000 for a 10KW system in 2023) All i can say is the solar production is still very good in Panasonic solar panels. In my January 2026 bill I had a carry forward balance of 200KWh which I should have been used in December for something. Except September and August, I have only paid $33 as my monthly electricity bill. I am happy at least my carbon footprint is low and I also got solar tax credit for the money I spent. However, I have to say that the installers did a terrible job: They damaged two places in my first floor roof when they accessed the second floor roof. I emailed the company CEO the pictures to prove it. But he just avoided me saying it looks like weather damage. Not even a curtesy visit to see what happened. Any fool can distinguish a weathered roof and a roof damaged by placing ladders and solar panels improperly by a lousy worker during the installation. But I gave up chasing it anymore and waited to see how panels are working over time. Next I found out they have stepped on my upstairs ceiling during installation and the ceiling has several cracks along the joints of the drywall panels. I didn't even bother to send them photos again. But I know the cause because the cracks appeared after the solar installation. In conclusion: my advice to future consumers is to take pictures/videos of your roof and the ceiling (and whatever they are going to touch) before and after the installation.

The sales pitch and installation went well in 2019 with no hang ups, then I had one inverter not operating properly and I contacted them for service and they came out a couple days later and replaced the fuse for a fee of course. Then earlier last year 2024 I had error codes being given on my inverter, I contacted them through the website leaving my information and heard nothing, so I called and straight to voice mail. After several weeks of trying the website and the phone number I finally got a call back on a Saturday from someone claiming to be a service technician, by this time I had already been on the manufacturers website to troubleshoot. And I explained the I was getting a ground fault error code and the tech said someone would contact me Monday to schedule the service. It’s now 2025 and not a peep from anyone at solar ray, after so much runaround I was contacted by a competitor about getting solar, I said I have solar but can’t get the company who installed them to come out and service them…the competing company sent someone out that same week and upon inspecting it seems that the emergency quick disconnect on the outside of the house was not properly insulated allowing condensation to build up and run down the wires and down to the contact switch which had become rusted in effect breaking the connecting, then the tech asked me for the key to the emergency disconnect box, and I said I never got any key to any box, that’s when he told me “looks like it’s been jerry rigged to operate without the key”, I asked if that was common and he said there is no reason why it should be bypassed because it’s a safety issue. Needless to say I’ve tried contacting solar ray again to obtain other information that they neglected to give upon completing the install. It looks like once the panels are installed and paid for or financed solar ray does like steve miller band and they “take the money and run!” Thanks for standing by your work, your product , and your customer…psyche

I am extremely grateful for Alex. We have our solar for over 3yrs + years now and have had to call for the unit giving a minor error. The rep that I have worked with is Alex and hands down he is a 5star for our family. He responds so quickly and has been such and amazing rep if we had any questions that come up about our unit he was always assisting right away. I thank you Alex for all that you do! You truly provide exceptional service. I hope management is able to see this review and give him the praise he deserves. Thank you
