I recently completed training with First Response Training Group – Fire Standards, and I can confidently say it was one of the most valuable learning experiences I’ve had. The instructors are highly knowledgeable and bring real-world experience into every lesson, which makes a huge difference in understanding how the material applies on the job. The training was well-structured, hands-on, and aligned with current fire service standards. They didn’t just focus on checking boxes—they made sure we truly understood the skills and could perform them confidently. The instructors were approachable, patient, and always willing to take extra time to ensure everyone was up to speed. What stood out most was the emphasis on safety, professionalism, and accountability. It’s clear they care about producing competent, capable firefighters—not just getting students through a course. I had a great experience here at FRTG. The instructors truly care about your success and the staff/administration are always willing to help in anyway they can! The course is challenging and will be extremely overwhelming at first, but trust the process and persevere and eventually you will find your footing. Truly grateful for my time here. Overall, the only improvement i would ask for is more practice on the practical side of the course. But again, you WILL succeed and the staff is always willing to help.

I had a great experience and learned so much from the PALS training from instructors Jay and Victor. The course was well organized, thorough, and easy to follow. The instructors were knowledgeable, patient, and explained complex concepts in a clear and practical way. The hands-on practice and real-life scenarios really helped build confidence in applying PALS skills in a clinical setting. I left the training feeling prepared, confident, and up to date with current guidelines. I would highly recommend this PALS training to anyone looking for high-quality, professional instruction.

They were brought in to teach ACLS AND PALS to my cohort in PA school. Amazing program and taught us how to critical think and apply our knowledge from the past year in the program. Would 100% do future classes with them and fully recommend taking classes from Tom and Scott!
